"We become what we think." I believe this saying is true and our thoughts turn into our reality eventually. The Law of Attraction basically indicates we have the ability to bring into our lives whatever we focus on. Since my sisters and I were little, my mom always told us 'ask and you shall receive' and 'put positive thoughts out to the universe.' I firmly believe in all of these sayings more and more as I get older - now I'm not saying to ask for everything and expect it all. For example, when I started my business full time, I found that in the beginning I wasn't doing as well as I expected to be and it was frustrating me. I was so concentrated on ways I could fail rather than succeed and I put all my energy towards the negative. I was struggling and debating going back to an 8-5 job until I realized that I needed to change my way of thinking.
It is so easy to get into a slump when things may not be going the way you would like them to and when your vision is clouded it is easy for the negative to keep snowballing. We are all human and go through this. You know those days where everything seems to just go wrong? Those days where nothing can perk you up? Those are the days where it is difficult to be thankful but when gratitude is needed the most. I believe that it is the power of positivity that will help you get out of these slumps. It can be as little as saying something positive about yourself or a simple daily act of gratitude. I believe positive thoughts can dramatically improve the quality of your life, your outlook, your goals, your relationship with others and most importantly your relationship with yourself.
Take a moment to think of something that you are thankful for. Giving yourself a daily dose of upbeat self-talk can help you channel the power of positivity.
A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you. - Joyce Meyer
