our radiant facial toner is a professional grade exfoliating AHA-HydroX complex toner that will allow for brighter skin, reduce fine lines + wrinkles, as well as reduce the appearance of dark spots + hyper-pigmentation.
 
AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) work by breaking down the bonds holding dead skin cells to your skin, sloughing them off while exposing new brighter skin. this makes them amazing at reducing the appearance of sun damage, hyper-pigmentation + dark spots while also reducing the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles.
 
why our toner?
we seen a need for more of a gentle toner that isn't stripping the skin barrier but giving amplified results. our AHA-HydroX complex combines the fast acting + potent power of glycolic acid with other gentler AHA’s like lactic acid & mandelic acid.
 
Did you know that glycolic acid is the smallest AHA? this means that is penetrates the deepest + acts the fastest (quick results = a win!) however, glycolic acid is too irritating to use regularly in high concentrations. this is why we have combined it with lactic acid + mandelic acid. (lactic acid is gentler + more hydrating). mandelic acid promotes cell turnover while also being gentle on the skin.
 
Astaxanthin (pronounced “asta-xan-thin”) is a naturally occurring compound that is often referred to as nature's most powerful antioxidant, as it is far more powerful than Vitamin C or Vitamin E. This means that it provides even more protection for the skin PLUS is also known to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sun damage + reduces inflammation (goodbye acne).

how to use:
recommended for PM use - no more than once daily due to cell turnover. after double cleansing in the evening, apply to cotton pad + swipe evenly over face + neck - can be used on the back or chest if you have breakouts. resume to serums + night creams. 
 
use only as directed + avoid contact with the eyes. if irritation persists, discontinue use + consult a physician, recommended that prior to exposure to the sun - cover areas where AHAs have been applied with sunscreen!! should not be combined with high concentrations of vitamin c or retinoids in the same routine - if you are using one of these, split into separate morning + night routines.
